Moving off TSM or Thesis
to Innealla
Thesis TSM has been the student management system at many UK and Irish colleges for a long time. If the platform, the pricing or the roadmap no longer fits where your college is going, Innealla is a cloud student information system built in Ireland: one student record from application to transcript, a fixed-price migration that imports your TSM data, and a supplier that answers the phone.
Platforms we run and connect for colleges

Your TSM data, imported and reconciled,
in a student information system built for colleges

Why colleges look at a move
We have integrated with TSM for years through its APIs, so we know what it holds and how colleges use it. The reasons a college starts looking elsewhere are usually practical rather than dramatic.
- A platform transition or end-of-life on the horizon, with a re-implementation cost that invites the question of whether to re-implement at all
- Fee, instalment, sponsor and QQI or Ofqual processes handled in spreadsheets beside the system
- Reporting that needs an export and a developer rather than a question asked in plain English
- Moodle, CRM, timetabling and finance each holding their own copy of the student, with staff re-keying between them
- A support model built for large institutions, when you need a named engineer who knows your set-up
- Wanting AI that works on the live student record without student data leaving the platform
How the move works
Because we already read TSM data through its APIs for integration work, the extraction side of a migration is well trodden. The discovery tells you how clean your data is and fixes the price before you commit to anything.
- Two-week discovery: a full extract via the TSM APIs or database, every table graded from A to G, a fixed price and a go-live date
- AI-assisted migration of students, applicants, programmes, modules, enrolments, results, awards and fee history, with every transformation logged
- Parallel run with reconciliation reports on students, enrolments and fees before cutover
- Cutover timed between intakes, with a written rollback plan
- Moodle, Salesforce or Zoho, finance and timetabling reconnected through the Integration Hub on day one
- Live in under two months for most colleges, on a hosted subscription banded by student numbers with your rate held for 24 months

An AI brain, on your terms
Innealla is built with AI running through it, not bolted on. Staff ask it questions and tell it to do things in plain English, and it works against the live student record within the permissions that person already has.
- Ask: “Which second-year students on the diploma are below 85% attendance and owe fees?” and get the list, with the figures traced to where they came from
- Tell: “Set up the September intakes from this spreadsheet” comes back as a preview to approve before anything changes
- Early alerts on students at risk, drawn from attendance, grades and fees together
- Runs on a model hosted by Inneall in Ireland, so your student data never leaves our platform and there is no per-token bill from a third party
- Optionally bring your own OpenAI or Anthropic keys for the tasks or hours you choose, so you control the cost model
- Every request and every action is logged against the person who made it
Is Innealla the right move for you?
It usually is when the college has a few hundred to several thousand students, runs programmes under QQI, Ofqual or a partner university, and wants a system shaped around how it actually works. It is not the right move for everyone, and we will say so at discovery.
- Private and professional colleges in Ireland and the UK facing a TSM transition or renewal
- Institutions whose fee, instalment and sponsor processes live in spreadsheets beside the SIS
- Colleges already on Moodle or Salesforce that want the student record connected properly
- Groups with several schools or brands that want one platform with a separate instance for each
Every connector, through one Integration Hub
Innealla owns the student record and the Integration Hub connects it to everything else a college runs. We build connectors for a living, so if one is missing we add it.
- Moodle: our Moodle plugin provisions courses, cohorts and enrolments from the curriculum and keeps grades and announcements in step
- Salesforce: a managed app we built, so applications and cases flow into the student record without re-keying
- Zoho: the same, for colleges on Zoho CRM
- Finance: GL journal export to your accounts system, payment providers, sponsor billing
- CAO applications, Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace, email and SMS
- Timetabling is in the core; an existing Celcat export imports for cutover
How we do things
Partnership, transparency, user-centred design and long-term quality guide every project. Each one runs through the same six stages, so you always know where it stands and who is accountable.

We’ve integrated systems others refused to touch!
“Inneall’s impact on our ability to deliver reliable, scalable technology has been absolutely enormous. What sets them apart is their deep knowledge of our business, they understand our systems, our teams, and our priorities. That means we’re not dealing with a technology supplier; we’re working with a partner who genuinely cares about getting it right.”
