The problem

The signals are already there. Nobody sees them together.

AttendanceMoodleSubmissionsResultsFeesSupport

They are spread across the attendance register, Moodle, the assessment system and the fees ledger, and nobody sees them together until it is too late.

FAQ

Common questions.

Something else? Talk to us and an engineer will answer.

What does the student engagement platform actually do?

It pulls together the engagement signals a college already holds: class attendance, Moodle activity (logins, submissions, forum and quiz activity), assessment results and fee status. From those it builds a per-student engagement picture and raises early alerts to programme leaders, student support and personal tutors.

Do we have to use Innealla to use it?

No. It runs inside Moodle for colleges who want it there, or alongside Innealla. It connects through our Integration Hub to Moodle, to Innealla or another SIS, to the timetable and to the CRM, so it works with the student record you already have.

Who decides what counts as a student at risk?

The college does. The rules and thresholds are yours: which signals matter, how they are weighted, when an alert is raised and who receives it. We configure them with you at set-up and you can change them afterwards.

Where is the data held and what does the AI do with it?

The platform is hosted by Inneall in AWS Ireland under a data processing agreement with the college. The AI features, such as summarising a student’s situation for a tutor or drafting a check-in, run on a model hosted by Inneall in Ireland, so student data stays on our platform.

How is it priced?

As a monthly subscription per college, banded by student numbers, plus a fixed set-up fee that covers connecting it to your systems and configuring your rules. Hosting, running and supporting the platform are included.

What the platform does

Most colleges already hold the signals that show a student is struggling. They are just spread across the attendance register, Moodle, the assessment system and the fees ledger, and nobody sees them together until it is too late. The student engagement platform joins them up and puts the result in front of the people who can do something about it.

  • Engagement signals in one place: class attendance, Moodle logins, submissions, forum and quiz activity, assessment results and fee status
  • A per-student engagement picture, with early alerts to programme leaders, student support and personal tutors
  • Check-ins and nudges by email, SMS or the student app: a missed-submission reminder, a “how are you getting on” check-in, an invitation to a support appointment, with replies and outcomes recorded on the student
  • A caseload view, case notes and referral workflows for student support, so a flag turns into a conversation and a recorded outcome
  • Retention and engagement dashboards for management, by programme, intake and module
  • Rules and thresholds that are the college’s own, not ours
  • AI that summarises a student’s situation for a tutor or drafts a check-in, running on a model hosted by Inneall in Ireland

Works with the systems you already run

The student engagement platform does not replace anything. It connects to the systems a college already has through our Integration Hub and reads the signals from there.

  • Moodle: logins, submissions, forum and quiz activity, and the option to run the platform inside Moodle itself
  • Innealla or another SIS: enrolments, assessment results and fee status
  • The timetable: so class attendance is measured against what was scheduled
  • The CRM: so student support cases and referrals line up with the records already held
  • Email, SMS and the student app for check-ins and nudges

We love API environments
and the challenge of integration

We’ve integrated systems others refused to touch!

“Inneall’s impact on our ability to deliver reliable, scalable technology has been absolutely enormous. What sets them apart is their deep knowledge of our business, they understand our systems, our teams, and our priorities. That means we’re not dealing with a technology supplier; we’re working with a partner who genuinely cares about getting it right.”
